NBC Washington: Truck Hits Overpass, Spilling Chunks of Concrete “A truck carrying concrete slabs hit an overpass along Interstate 395 early Thursday morning, spilling chunks of concrete across the lanes. The accident happened in the northbound lanes of I-395 at the 12th Street exit. The truck was carrying large slabs of concrete when it hit a CSX overpass. A piece of the concrete slab sheared off, spilling across the roadway.”

Fox5DC: DC has received more than 3,200 calls about rat complaints in 2017 fiscal year “D.C. has received thousands of calls to 311, the city’s 24-hour services request toll-free phone number, about complaints of rats. Over the last three fiscal years, the annual number of rat complaint calls has risen by over a thousand calls.”

NBC Washington: DC Mayor Moves to Ease Process of Sealing Criminal Records “Mayor Muriel Bowser proposed legislation Thursday that could make it easier for D.C. residents to seal their criminal records. Bowser’s plan proposes that arrest records that aren’t prosecuted or end with a conviction be automatically sealed, wait times for record sealings be trimmed down and some convictions should be reviewed to be eligible for record sealing, according to a statement from her office.”
