Authorities have charged Michael Anthony Fenderson second-degree murder and driving under the influence.

Washington Post: Man struck by vehicle in Northeast Washington dies of injuries “A 58-year-old pedestrian who was struck by a vehicle Saturday night in Northeast Washington has died, and police said they charged the driver with second-degree murder and driving under the influence.”

Washington Post: Man arrested near White House claimed to have ‘nuclear bomb detonator,’ police say “A man was arrested Tuesday morning near 15th Street and Pennsylvania Avenue NW after he told police he was in possession of a “nuclear bomb detonator,” authorities said.”

Washington Post: Police identify body of woman found in Potomac River “D.C. police have identified the body of a woman recovered Saturday from the Potomac River near the Blue Plains Wastewater Treatment plant, according to a department spokeswoman. The remains were of Sarah Gaddy, 27, of Northeast, according to the spokeswoman, Aquita Brown. A cause of death has not been announced by the medical examiner’s office.”

Public Safety Update

Fox5DC: 2 construction workers rescued from disabled boom lift in Southeast DC “A high-angle rescue team was safely able to get two construction workers off of a disabled boom lift stuck about 10 stories high in Southeast D.C. D.C. Fire and EMS Deputy Fire Chief John Donnelly said the workers were stranded on the construction equipment in the 1200 block of First Street at around 4:45 p.m. Tuesday.”
