Corrina Mehiel, 34, was found fatally stabbed late Tuesday afternoon. According to reports, the victim was found tied up and stabbed to death in a Capitol Hill apartment. Authorities are asking for the public’s help in finding a 2004 Toyota Prius with the following Kentucky tag: 722 RMY. • A man was seriously injured Wednesday morning in a shooting in the Dupont Park Neighborhood. No suspect information is available at this time, and authorities are actively investigating the incident.

Washington Post: Woman found fatally stabbed in home near Capitol Hill “An artist temporarily living in the District while helping with an exhibit at the Corcoran School of the Arts and Design was found tied up and stabbed to death Tuesday in an apartment on Capitol Hill, according to D.C. police.”

WJLA: Man seriously injured in shooting overnight in Southeast D.C., police say “A man was seriously injured in a shooting early Wednesday morning in Southeast Washington, according to police. The unidentified man was found by police semi-conscious and breathing.”

Washington Post: Man is stabbed in head during attack at Kenilworth Park in Northeast Washington “A man was stabbed in the head along a Washington bike path Tuesday afternoon, police said, and suffered life-threatening injuries.The incident happened around 2:30 p.m. along a bike path in Kenilworth Park in Northeast Washington. U.S. Park Police said they received a call for a report of an assault.”

Fox5DC: Town hall meeting held to discuss missing children in DC “FOX 5 was the first to report D.C. police were tweeting about an unusually high number of missing children. According to city officials, there is not an uptick in missing persons cases, but community members remain frustrated.”

WJLA: VIDEO: Person wanted for burglary at store in Southeast D.C., police say “Police are searching for a person wanted for a burglary at a store on Feb. 5 in Southeast Washington. The incident occurred in the 3500 block of Wheeler Road.”

Fox5DC: DC police searching for two missing 17-year-olds from DC “Police are asking for the public’s help in locating two 17-year-olds reported missing from Southeast D.C. D.C. police say Katherine Hunter was last seen in the 100 block of Mississippi Avenue at around 12:33 a.m. Tuesday.”

Washington Post: Three-alarm fire hits home in Northwest Washington “A three-alarm fire hit a vacant house in Northwest Washington on Wednesday morning, officials said. The fire occurred about 6:15 a.m. in the 5800 block of Colorado Avenue NW in the Brightwood neighborhood.”
