Washington Post: Capitol Heights man arrested in D.C. man’s fatal shooting in parking lot “A Capitol Heights man was arrested in the fatal shooting of a man found dead in a parking lot, according to Prince George’s County police. Kevin Kavon Fleming Jr., 27, has been charged with first- and second-degree murder in the slaying of Timothy Wimbush, 31, of Southeast Washington, police said.”

Fox5DC: Water breach in Metro’s Yellow Line tunnel causes delays “Metro removed third rail power Thursday at the Yellow Line tunnel south of L’Enfant Plaza just after 11:30 a.m. after a water breach was reported, Metro said in a press release. Yellow line trains were single tracking between L’Enfant Plaza and Pentagon City until around 2:30 p.m.”

NBC Washington: DC Mayor Proposing Green Bank to Fund Clean Energy Projects “Washington, D.C., could become the first city in the country to establish a green bank, a tool used to help invest public funds in clean energy projects. Mayor Muriel Bowser will introduce legislation to create a green bank in the next few weeks, according to a statement from the mayor’s office.”
