NBC Washington: Ten People Shot in Less Than 24 Hours in DC; 2 Dead “Ten people have been shot in less than 24 hours in D.C. over the weekend—including two men who died.”

Washington Post: Man is fatally shot in Northeast D.C. “A man was shot and killed Sunday afternoon in Northeast Washington, the D. C. police said. The shooting occurred about 3:30 p.m. in the 4400 block of Quarles Street NE. Police said the victim died at the scene.”

Fox5DC: DC bartender suffers broken neck after being attacked while walking home “A District bartender was brutally attacked while walking down the street in Northwest D.C. He remains in the hospital, but his friends and co-workers are coming together to help him out as he recovers from his serious injuries.”

Washington Post: Police arrest suspect in three bank robberies in downtown D.C. in 30 minutes “A man who served more than a decade in prison for robbing banks and was freed in March was arrested Friday after D.C. police said he robbed or tried to rob several banks in Washington, three of them in a half-hour on Friday.”

According to the reports, arrests in 14 of the 23 robberies were made by officers who responded to the scene.”

NBC Washington: Police Officer, 2nd Driver Hurt in NW DC Crash “Officials say a police officer and a driver for a ride-hailing service were injured in a crash in Northwest Washington.”

Washington Post: Apartment building wall collapses under heavy rain, displacing 11 “Nearly a dozen people were displaced from an apartment building in Southeast Washington early Saturday after a wall collapsed because of heavy rain.”

Fox5DC: DC police officer under fire for reportedly wearing shirt with racist symbol “A D.C. police officer is off the streets while the department investigates what appears to be a photo of the officer wearing a shirt with a racist symbol while on duty.”
