Washington Post: Man wanted in Dec. 26 killing in Takoma is arrested, D.C. police say “D.C. police arrested one of two suspects Saturday in the Dec. 26 fatal shooting of a man outside a 7-Eleven store in the District’s Takoma neighborhood. Shawn J. Brown, 28, of Northwest Washington, was charged with second-degree murder while armed, police said Sunday. He was arrested on a warrant by members of the Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force.”

Washington Post: Man stabbed to death in Southeast D.C., police say “A man was stabbed to death in Southeast D.C. overnight, a police spokeswoman said. A bystander found Antoinios Deangelo Butler, 25, of Southeast D.C., lying face down in the street near the BENCO Shopping Center around midnight and flagged down an officer, police said.”
