WJLA: Man shot to death over the weekend in Southeast D.C., police say “A 30-year-old man was shot and killed over the weekend in Southeast Washington, according to Metropolitan Police. On Sunday, police found Kenny Bell, 30, with multiple gunshot wounds in the 3800 block of 8th Street. Bell died at the scene of the shooting.”
Washington Post: Second suspect arrested in shooting that injured four last year “A second suspect has been arrested in a daylight shooting last year at a busy District intersection that left four people wounded and prompted a public outcry. The shooting occurred about 4:30 p.m. June 8 at New York Avenue and North Capitol Street NW. It was in front of Big Ben Liquors on a corner that is passed daily by thousands of commuters.”

NBC Washington: House Moving to Block DC ‘Death With Dignity’ Law “A House committee is taking up an unusual resolution that would invalidate a D.C. law. The House Oversight Committee will vote Monday on whether to send a resolution to the House floor blocking the District’s “Death with Dignity’’ law.”
