He was armed with a gun, and authorities are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying and locating the suspect.

Washington Post: Man charged with fatally stabbing his father in Southeast Washington “A 26-year-old man was arrested Tuesday and charged with fatally stabbing his father earlier this month in Southeast Washington, according to D.C. police. David Blakeney Jr., 26, of Southeast, was charged with second-degree murder. The victim was identified as David Blakeney, 53, also of Southeast. Dustin Sternbeck, a spokesman for the D.C. police, confirmed the victim was the suspect’s father.”
Washington Post: Police hope video of man’s shooting in Northeast D.C. leads to arrest “The black and white video shows a man standing on a sidewalk just off H Street in Northeast Washington, both hands in his pockets, a silhouette against the glow of a streetlight. A man runs toward him holding what appears to be a gun in his right hand. His arm extends as the victim falls out of the frame. It appears two shots are fired before the gunman’s arm drops down to his side.”
Washington Post: Police say burglar pointed gun at homeowner during confrontation in Northwest “D.C. police are looking for a man who they said burglarized a residence in Northwest Washington and then pointed a gun at the homeowner who tried to retrieve his belongings, according to authorities.”
WJLA: Police: D.C. man arrested on child sex trafficking charges “Police say they arrested a man on charges of child sex trafficking on Saturday in D.C. Police say Joshua Gibbs, 25, of D.C. is accused of allegedly recruiting a child through a website and then trying to take them with “the intent to engage in a commercial sex act.” This happened at around 1:00 a.m. on Saturday.”

WJLA: VIDEO: Person steals package off porch of home in Northeast D.C. “Police are searching for a person who stole a package off of the porch of a resident’s home on April 8 in Northeast Washington. The theft took place in the 1600 block of Constitution Avenue, NE.”

Landlord Sued Over Apartment Building’s Deplorable Conditions “A lawsuit against the owners and managers of a northwest Washington apartment building claims residents lived with infestations of vermin, mold and contamination. The Office of the Attorney General is seeking receivership for the building at 2724 11 St. NW, abatement of a public nuisance, restitution of rent payments for tenants and penalties.”
