DC Police did not comment on a motive in the case. • Tejeda Hernandez-Chrispin, 22, was charged with attempted first-degree sexual assault, after he allegedly punched a woman in the face and tried to sexually assault her in the Georgetown neighborhood on Sunday.

Washington Post: Police arrest suspect in March killing in front of convenience store in Southeast “D.C. police on Friday arrested a suspect in connection with a fatal shooting that occurred last month on a busy street in the Fairlawn neighborhood of Southeast Washington, according to authorities.”

Washington Post: Man in D.C. charged in string of mostly sexual-abuse incidents “A man was arrested Thursday and charged in seven incidents of sexual abuse or attempted abuse, robbery or voyeurism, D.C. police said. They said one case involved a knife and another a gun.”

Washington Post: Northwest Washington man arrested in attempted sexual assault in Georgetown “A Northwest Washington man was arrested Saturday in connection with the attempted sexual assault of a woman in Georgetown, D.C. police said Sunday. Tejeda Hernandez-Chrispin, 22, has been charged with assault with intent to commit first-degree sexual abuse, police said.”

Washington Post: Robbery at D.C. service station leads to car crash, cash strewn on ground “A man was robbed on Mac­Arthur Boulevard in the District on Sunday, the suspected getaway car crashed into a tree, cash was strewn around the neighborhood and at least one man was taken into custody, authorities said.”

Fox5DC: DC carry out business targeted again in attempted armed robbery “Police are asking for the public’s help to find two suspects who attempted to rob a business at gunpoint in Northeast D.C. It happened on April 13 at around 8:05 p.m. at a carryout and lottery business on Michigan Avenue. Despite the suspects breaking into the business and pointing a gun at the store’s employees, they did not get away with any money.”

WJLA: Police: 33-year-old Brooklyn man dies after hit by driver of Volkswagen in NW, D.C. “A 33-year-old man from Brooklyn, New York was hit by a driver of a silver Volkswagon Gold in Northwest Washington early Thursday morning, D.C. police said. According to police, the driver had been parked in the 2100 block of 8th Street shortly before 2 a.m. when he got into his vehicle and started to pull away from a curb.”

Washington Post: Bowser plans to lease apartment buildings to house homeless families “D.C. Mayor Muriel E. Bowser is seeking to lease apartment buildings for homeless families, a consequential shift in her administration’s efforts to combat a housing shortage that could prove controversial among District residents and elected officials.”
