The DC Police Union is asking members to fill out the following survey and tell Union leadership which issues you would like to prioritize during the contract negotiation process: • An unidentified person was stabbed on a Metrobus Wednesday afternoon near the Burrville neighborhood. Amber Denese Harvey, 20, was arrested in connection with the incident. • Traveous Lamont Brown, 27, was arrested in connection with the fatal shooting of Paul Swann, 24, in 2016.

WJLA: Metro: 1 stabbed during fight on Metro bus in Northeast D.C., woman arrested “A person was stabbed during a fight on a Metro bus Wednesday afternoon in Northeast Washington, according to Metro officials.”

WJLA: Police: 27-year-old man arrested for stabbing in NE, D.C. “Twenty-seven-year-old Brandon Walker of Northeast Washington was arrested in connection with a stabbing that took place on Tuesday, May 10, authorities reported on Wednesday. According to D.C. police, Walker, along with multiple other suspects, approached the victim for an unknown reason and when the victim tried to walk away he was stabbed. Police say the suspects fled the scene in a gold mini van after the stabbing.”

Washington Post: Second man arrested and charged in Feb. 2016 killing “D.C. police detectives arrested a Southeast Washington man Wednesday on a first-degree murder warrant for the fatal shooting in February 2016 of a 21-year-old man. Authorities took custody of 27-year-old Traveous Lamont Brown on a D.C. Superior Court bench warrant, police said in a statement. He is the second suspect police arrested in the killing of Adam Edwin Barker in the 2700 block of Langston Place SE on Feb. 29, 2016.”

NBC Washington: D.C. Man Pleads Guilty in DVD Bootlegging Case “A Capitol Hill man from whom federal agents said they seized thousands of dollars of counterfeit DVD box sets of “The West Wing” pleaded guilty to a federal charge. John Glasgow, whom the feds also accused of possessing tens of thousands of dollars in bogus electronics, admitted breaking federal law and faces two years in prison.”

Washington Post: D.C. mayor to propose bill expanding rights of sexual assault victims “D.C. Mayor Muriel E. Bowser (D) is set to announce on Thursday legislation that would enhance the rights of victims of sexual assaults, particularly juveniles, and expand what can be considered a crime during an attack.”
